January average slowly trending upward

January 27, 2018 0 Comments

Once again, we were in the 50s for our highs the last few days. This time, it was three days in a row.

Our several days above 50 have almost caught us up from a below average start to 2018.

If you’ll remember, the first week of the year, we never got above average. In fact, New Year’s day was the coldest on record, with highs not even getting above 0°.

Fast forward to today (January 27th), and the story has been ten straight days above average.

With the up and down trend continuing, our average looks to pan out close to where we normally are.

Here’s the data from this month’s high temperatures. (From the Peoria Int’l Airport)
